Rotary help for Exchange Community Garden.

On 8th May an "Open Garden and Plant Sale" was held at 1 Chyngton Lane, with the proceeds being allocated to The Exchange Project. This community garden scheme, based in the Crouch Gardens adjacent to the telephone exchange, was the brainchild of Wendy Simmons and Lindsay Thomas. Further details can be found on their website at www.exchangeproject.org.uk. Despite threatening weather the event was well attended and a total of ?1,100 was raised for this very worthwhile community based project. Picture shows President John Owen presenting the cheque to James Posgate and other members of the project in the Community Garden.
